It's been a long time I haven't posted anything...
again...


well I try to keep in touch anyway.







Here are some drawings I made in Edinburgh, where I live and work now, on the next Sylvain Chomet's feature movie.


Life in Edinburgh is great, I work with very good animation people and we can draw outside together. There are some spanish animators who have a really good way to draw, it's great to draw with them because it's so much fun. I prefer now artistic drawings than technicals drawings where everything is so perfectly pictured. The more important now for me is the expression even if it's not perfect, perfection is so boring... Don't you think?






I am fed up now with my way of drawing and would like to start to do some paintings or coloured drawings.

I am quite late in all artistic stuffs...

I will try to show you other stuffs than my usuals life drawings and doddles, you'll see that next year.

Have a good 2007 ending, merry christmas and all the stuff.

Scotland for the illusionnist

That's for sure, even if I don't have an answer yet for my job as an assistant animator on the feature film project of Sylvain Chomet "The illusionnist" I go to scotland anyway this sunday! I will practice my watercolor there until I can start my work.
Let's begin a real adventure!

C'est sûr de sûr même si je n'ai toujours pas de réponse pour mon job en tant qu'assistante animateur sur le projet de long métrage de Sylvain Chomet "L'illusionniste" je pars en Ecosse ce dimanche qui arrive!
Je vais pratiquer mon aquarelle (qui en a bien besoin) jusqu'à ce que je puisse commencer à travailler.
"Allez hop on y va, en route pour l'aventure...!"

This is the rough of an illustration I made for the first 4 songs album of a rock band called Irminsul, I've colorised it on photoshop and worked a long time for them, each week-end were sacrified because the week I were working on the movie "Lucky Luke". Each time I asked them if they were ok with that they told me "yes, yes" and at the end, they decided to take something else without telling me anything. Never again I will work with amators!

And down this page, this is what happens when I've got a delirium with my markers...


Voilà le rough d'une illustration que j'ai faite pour l'album 4 titres d'un groupe de rock nommé Irminsul, je l'ai colorisé sur photoshop et j'ai beaucoup travaillé pour eux, chaque week-end était sacrifié parce que la semaine je travaillais sur le long-métrage "Lucky Luke". A chaque fois que je leur demandais si ça leur convenait ils me répondaient "oui oui" et à la fin, ils ont décidé de prendre autre chose sans me prévenir, dans mon dos. Jamais plus je ne travaillerai avec des amateurs!

Et puis plus bas voilà ce qui arrive quand je délire avec mes feutres...

Quand on voit ça y'a pas à dire, on n'est encore qu'un gland... La route est longue avant de devenir un chêne, n'est-ce pas?...

Blog en friche

Cela fait bien longtemps que je n'ai rien mis d'intéressant sur ce blog, je vous rassure ça ne risque pas de changer avant un bon moment car je n'ai plus vraiment la motivation de l'entretenir. Un blog c'est comme un aquarium, au début c'est tout beau on aime s'en occuper mais ensuite quand notre vie s'accélère et que le temps nous manque cela devient presque une corvée.
Blog en friche, blog à l'abandon, blog en déperdition, j'espère pouvoir bientôt l'entretenir avec de nouveaux dessins, des peintures, tout un tas de petites choses, mais cela prendra du temps. Beaucoup de temps...

P.S: la photo jointe est une photo que j'ai prise à l'aquarium de Santossa, à Singapour durant mes dernières vacances. Ces bêtes sont vraiment surprenantes! Vous croyez que c'est une sorte d'algue derrière l'hypocampe? Regardez-y à deux fois...
